THE STORY

When Crystal undergoes a psilocybin mushroom treatment, a buried memory of sexual abuse resurfaces tied to a mysterious photograph. Found after her parents' passing, this photo of a thirty-something man made her uneasy from the moment she saw it. She has absolutely no recollection of the guy, yet the clues in the photo point to her high school freshman year and a summer vacation spent with her long-estranged friend, Tracy.

Adding to the mystery is a cryptic message on the back of the photo, addressed to her. Why was an old dude sending this picture to her teenage self? Driven by a need for answers, Crystal sets out to reconnect with her childhood friend. What begins as a quest to uncover the truth about the man in the picture evolves into a journey of empowerment and reconciliation.

 

As Crystal and Tracy revisit their shared past, they confront old rifts and wounds tangled in the challenges of coming of age.
